Our Story
In 2021, Martha made the fateful [and super brave!] decision to move to New York City to pursue a master’s degree in design at the School of Visual arts.
Our dedicated friend True, wanting to help as always, flew with Martha to help transport her things, get her settled in, and enjoy some New York moments together to celebrate Martha’s new chapter.
During that first week, True invited dan, who was already living in New York City, to grab a bite with them and… someone new.
But! it wasn’t for another three years that the circumstances were just right (in other words, Martha was already planning on leaving New York, and time was running out) that Dan finally had the nerve to ask Martha out.
Our first date was a hit, and literally by date two, we were already planning cooking nights, talking about our future aspirations, and speaking candidly about what each of us meant to the other.
It was worth the wait.
That story isn’t over, and that’s why we want all of you to be with us to see it forward.

Guadalajara is served by an international airport called Guadalajara international airport (GDL). We recommend booking flights early to get the best possible deals.
We arranged hotel blocks with two hotels to accommodate different budgets. The hotels are very close to one another, centrally located in Guadalajara.

If you decide to find your own lodging, look in the Punta Sao Paulo neighborhood of Guadalajara to be as close as possible to the hotels, where the wedding shuttles will pick up our guests
We are arranging shuttle-pickup for all guests from the Grand Fiesta Americana country club hotel. There will also be an “early” shuttle home, as well as a final shuttle after the party.

We kindly request that our guests respect our wishes to make this an adult-only event. That said, to make participation feasible for new parents, children under the age of one may be brought to the wedding.

This will be a fully outdoor event, hosted at the home of Martha's grandmother

Guadalajara tends to be pleasantly warm during the day and crisp-cool at night. So an additional layer to enjoy the cooler night air may be appropriate. More specifically: Daytime Highs: Average around 80°F to 82°F (27°C to 28°C). Nighttime Lows: Drop to around 50°F to 54°F (10°C to 12°C).
